Library with a particular interest in paleography and has written
several other important books on medieval scripts. Patricia Lovett
is a professional scribe who has written several calligraphy
books. It is an inspired pairing. With each hand discussed,
the authors start with some historical background, show examples in
color and B&W and then analyze the script, explaining how the
letters are formed. A sample alphabet of capitals, lower case
letters, numbers and punctuation included, as well as examples showing
