lives up to its title. Everything seems to be covered, from
rivets to sand casting to crimping to woven chain to mallets to jewel
setting to patina recipes, well as a number of other things I haven't
time to mention. Every page has helpful diagrams and sketches.
The book is spiral bound, so it lays flat for your easy consultation
while working.

is nothing medieval about this book - the word doesn't even appear in
the index. However, it will be helpful to the person making
jewelry, casting pilgrim's badges or armouring. People who teach
these crafts recommend it highly.
